New Updates

As some of you may know already, we finally decided on a place and time. The wedding will be held April 19th 2013 at the Patrick C. Haley Mansion in Joliet.. here is their link:

The place is perfect! "Built in 1891, the Patrick C. Haley mansion features Victorian decor combined with desirable modern amenities." It is absolutely gorgeous and fits great with our Victorian theme. We will have the entire grounds for the night, which includes the garden, the front lawn, all 3 floors of the mansion and the Ball room which is where the reception will be held. What I love the most is that during the reception our older guests who are a bit wary of the loud music and drunken goofballs can escape to the mansion on the first 2 floors to sip coffee and chat.

couple of things you should know....

1. As much as we love each and everyone of you gorgeous people, we are paying for this entire wedding ourselves and we just simply cannot afford to invite every person we know. It will be only 120 people with of course family taking up the larger chunk of that. Please do not take it personally if you do not receive an invitation. Money is just not making it possible for us to invite you. It does not mean your friendship is not important to us. WE LOVE YOU!

2. That being said, we have decided to make a NO CHILDREN policy.
For several reasons actually, again-money, as well as we are paying a lot of money to basically party with our friends and loved ones, so we want everyone to be able to enjoy themselves, the open bar and the dance floor. We do not want crying babies and parents chasing their children around. Do not take offense to this, you would not bring your children to a bar right? OK point made! You have an entire year to make preparations and find a babysitter--- no excuses.

3. Final thing:
This is a very strict FORMAL WEAR REQUIRED. If I see one person show up in a pair of jeans or a button up or t-shirt I will have a Bridezilla Bitch fit. Seriously, you will NOT be let in. Now it is a Victorian themed wedding, you don't have to show up in Victorian wear but extra brownie points if you do. I will have upcoming blogs to help you out on exactly where and what you can do to Victorian yourself up. Lets have fun and make a night to remember!
